I am taking on the sugar-free September challenge to stand beside those battling muscular dystrophy, proving that my determination knows no bounds. By embracing this journey, I along with my partner are not only prioritizing our own well-being but also showing solidarity with those who face daily challenges. Our commitment to this cause is a powerful reminder that small sacrifices can lead to profound impact. Letting the strength of our purpose guide us through the month, knowing that each sugar-free day is a step towards making a real difference in the lives of others and ours.

I'm taking this challenge as I'm a sweet tooth and want to challenge myself for a healthier lifestyle and what's better than to do for such a great cause.

I embrace this challenge despite its formidable nature, recognising the difficulty it presents for me to conquer. Yet, I humbly acknowledge that the hardships I face pale in comparison to the daily struggles endured by those living with MD. The resilience they exhibit in overcoming obstacles is truly inspiring. The knowledge that the funds raised contribute to a noble cause warms my heart. The thought of children benefiting from these efforts and embarking on adventures fills me with joy, as every child deserves the chance to create such cherished memories. On the tough days that inevitably arise, I will turn to these messages as a source of motivation, a reminder of my commitment to the challenge that awaits me in September.

I have done this challenge for the past two years - and what an excellent way to spread awareness and raise funding for much needed research! #sugarfreeSeptember

I'm going sugar free because it's nice to challenge myself with something that's hard and at the same time supporting a great cause!

Botille Vette-Welsh

I am doing Sugar Free September to help raise funds for those with MD. Being a semi professional athlete means going sugar free will help my body and performance. This is a win win situation, I get to become healthier and support those who live with MD.
